The Warm Sands community began in the 1920s when adobe homes were in fashion, long before the City of Palm Springs was incorporated in 1938. At that time the area consisted of homes and ranches, and some commercial businesses. The community has grown and since the 1950s many modern homes have been built in Warm Sands. Today, new homes continue to be built on vacant lots in the area.
Warm Sands is located near downtown Palm Springs and the area has gorgeous views of the San Jacinto Mountains. The Warm Sands neighborhood consists of approximately a half square mile and is bordered by Indian Canyon on the west, Ramon Road on the north, Sunrise Way on the east, and Sunny Dunes on the south.
